I’ve been working with a client who feels unbalanced and is having a hard time recognizing where she is doing a great job in her motherhood.
I asked her what she had done that day.
She told me that she prepared her children a healthy lunch, spent time with them doing a new activity, and planned to take them to a pumpkin patch later.
I told her those were all a series of successes. They were all evidence of doing a great job in motherhood.
Her reply, “yeah, but those are normal. Everyone does that!”
I had to remind her that not everyone does, and even if everyone did, it doesn’t make her actions any less!
Will you PLEASE do me a favor?
This week, will you make an intentional attempt to notice where you have victories? Notice the things you are doing even if you think “everyone does them.”
When we downplay our series of successes, it makes it hard to feel balanced and believe in ourselves as a great mom!
I’d love to hear what you discover! Hit reply back a let me know one thing you did today that makes you proud!
